Rained All Day-June 11, 2011

It was a quiet day. It was rainy and cool. I didn't do a thing. Watched the trial of Casey Anthony till 1 pm and then watched some movies on TV the rest of the day. Not much to say for this day. But I felt pretty good.
I'm a little ticked off at my air conditioner though. It seems to be filling up with water too much and it shuts off till I empty it. The drain is near the bottom of the thing. It's one of those portable ones. I have to lay an almost flat pan underneath the drain. It's very hard to bend over and try to pick the pan up without spilling it all over. My rug was all wet the other day. I'll have to bleach that area so mold don't grow. I think maybe the air conditioner is getting old and it's not working right. It's supposed to circulate the water. But it has been humid and that can make it accumulate too fast in the holding area. But it never did that before. I don't like bending over. It puts too much pressure on my head and eyes. I've had blood vessels break in my left eye lately. Not on the outside where you can see it but on the inside of the eyeball. Like when you see floaters but mine is a long thick ribbon that blocks my vision till the blood dissipates. Really weird. I won't bother with any eye doctors unless it gets worse. It's happened three times so far. And the last time was a couple weeks ago.
I still have not seen any fox pups. Just all the adults. Those darn skunks! Tonight one sprayed at another and stunk up my apartment. Not too bad though. I'm used to it. It's better than smelling that horrible cigarette smoke. It was seeping under my door today and when I went out to get my mail it stunk so bad in that hallway. The woman down the hall smokes all the time and when she opens her door it comes out in clouds.. She gets mad at me when I mention any smoke. I really wish they'd make a law so no one in these senior buildings can smoke anywhere. Not even in their apartments. Especially when it seeps out from their apartments and bothers everyone else. Then a few of them stand outside right by the front door and if I go out I have to walk through it. Disgusting! I complained to the landlord but he said there was nothing he could do as long as they were outside. But we only have one way in and out and it doesn't seem right that we who don't smoke should be subjected to that. I can't even sit out there in the evenings like we used to. We have five people that smoke here now. It used to be only two for lots of years till just this past year.
Okay. That's enough complaining. Time to go to bed. Have a nice Sunday everyone.

It was a cool day here today also. I got out and went to wal-mart. I needed creme for my coffee...lol. Hubby keeps the tv on racing and sports all weekend so I didn't see any of the trial today.

Glad you felt pretty good today. Hubby had a couple of weeks where he felt pretty good. Now back to being so tired he can hardly walk.

It's the pits your air conditioner is filling up with so much water. I hate it when things don't work right. I don't handle things like that as well as I did in the past. Just too much stress. LOL! But then any stress is too much!

I hate cigarette smoke also. Didn't bother me until I quit smoking years ago.

The skunks stink up my area all the time. I don't know what they are spraying at. Just hope they don't get me and my dogs when we are out. Yuck! That would be the pits. I call them worse than darn skunks!

Ginny, have a great Sunday. And take care! Karen

Hi Ginny :) I have been very envious of your being able to watch a trial on TV. We don't allow TV court coverage here although I believe that may be changed soon. However it dawned on me I could watch it on the computer, just a shame I hadn't thought of it before :) Anyway I too will be able to dip in and out of this trial now. As far as I know the case has not been reported here so I know very little about it, it does sound very, very sad though.

By the way, it rained here all day yesterday! We needed it so badly.

HUGS!!

Hi Jan. Yes! You can always see what's happening on the computer. Still wet and gloomy here today.
