Today did not start out too well. I was in the kitchen getting breakfast. I had just opened the refrigerator door and my slipper toe did not slide as I turned. Sort of like when you scuff your toe. I got knocked off balance and down I went onto that hard concrete floor. Right on my ass. I felt my right knee twist as I fell. I had a hold of the door for a second and I think that helped from really crashing hard. So wonder I didn't break it. I hurt my tail bone and my left thumb a little. I tried to avoid using my hands fearing another broken wrist. I got myself in a sitting position and decided how I was going to get up. I felt like nothing was broke, thank God! Then I slid on my butt to the rug then got on my knees and crawled into the living room to my coffee table. There is a step stool under it so I got that out and backed myself up to it and pushed till I got my butt onto that and then pushed backwards and got myself up onto the coffee table and then I could stand from there. Sure took the breath out of me for a bit but I'm okay. I took two Ibuprofen. My left knee was hurting all day yesterday and now I have a sore right knee but hopefully that will go away. The worst hurt is on my tail bone right now. That's all I need is something going wrong in that area after all I've been through with the surgery. The trouble with falling it knocks the insides around too much. I can feel a slight discomfort in my right back area. That area always bothers me.
Thank heavens nothing broke. So now I'm trying to watch the trial and sit as comfortable as I can but have to keep getting up or moving because of the tail bone.
I won't go to any doctor unless I feel that something isn't right or is getting worse.
Other than that the sun has come out for a while and it's going to be a hot and humid day. I had just looked out my bedroom window this morning after all that happened and saw a deer going into the woods. Didn't catch it in time to get a photo. Then a few minutes later I looked out and there was the daddy fox sitting there. I kept watching and the two pups came running out. One climbed the tree. The daddy came over to get some food and made the pups go back into the woods though so I didn't see them again.
Last night around 6 pm I was looking out and there was one lonely pup all by himself snooping around on top of the rock wall. He seemed so tiny. Then he came down the wall and into the area under my window. I was trying my hardest to get some good pics but I didn't. I did get some video of him though. He had found one of the treats outside my living room window. Boy, did he pick that up and run with it. back to the woods. never saw him again. These pups are so adorable to watch. I'm not sure just how many are out there yet. All I have seen at the same time is two. But I'm figuring there are more. If the dad was watching two then the mother was probably with the others. There are usually four.
It was a rainy yesterday here. Rained a bit this morning and we could get some scattered showers all day today.
My brother Rich called this morning. He and Ann are heading out to Geneva, NY for Ann's daughter's wedding tomorrow. They didn't have anyone to watch their dog and I guess Rick thought I could. I told him it would be too traumatizing for my birds and that I couldn't take him out to walk him. So he thought maybe they'd just get a motel room that accepted dogs out there. But they had already booked their room at the castle out there where the wedding reception is going to be. Hope they find a solution. I would have taken Rudy if I could have. He's such a nice little dog.
By the way. Rick said his truck runs so good now. They put a whole new back end in it. Over $4,000 it would have cost but rick had the extended warranty on it. So it didn't cost him anything. Not even labor.
My brother Steve is heading either to Ashville, NC tomorrow or to NH to see his daughter, Alysha. Not sure where exactly.
Jane and Savey will be going to the wedding out in Geneva tomorrow. They have a room at the castle also. They can afford it..Ha! No one else is going though. We really don't know Ann's daughter.
So that is all for now. Take care everyone and have a nice weekend wherever you are.
