I was surprised when the medical supply called me yesterday and said they'd be delivering the bed around 3:30. Got it faster than I thought I would. It took them about 45 minutes. That's with sigining paper work afterwards etc. It fits good. I can't use the walker around the bottom end but I got things to hold on to. The air conditioner is in the way a bit. The mattress is that memory foam and I never thought it would feel so hard as it does. But I like it and I slept pretty good. Sure was nice to lie down flat and be able to turn on my sides when I wanted to. There are half rails on each side but I can take them off. I like it because I can put the head or feet up with just a push of a button. It's not as bad as I thought it might be, being a hospital bed. And my sheets fit good so I won't have to buy any. I just tuck the excess under on the sides. But at least the are long enough. I was thinking about using the pad I had on the air mattress but I decided not to. It's bulky and there's not much space between the rails and mattress. I'll throw that out.
Debby stopped over around 6 pm. She brought the comforter back that she washed for me. I put that on the bed. It's a queen but doesn't hit the floor so it's working great.
I weeded out a lot of clothes in my closet. Now I have four big bags for someone to take to the Salvation Army. The more I get rid of the better I feel.
It's a gloomy, damp day but getting humid. I've had the air on only because of the humidity. It's not that warm yet. I think it's only going to 75 today. But it's going to be real hot for the next week. Just hope the air conditioner keeps working. And I really don't want to go out but I might have to get a few groceries. I'll go early in the morning or late at night.
Hope you all have a nice weekend.
PS I love having the lift chair Aunt Bev! In the afternoons I can sit in that and put my feet up and just relax. Thanks again for that wonderful gift!! Love you!

Ginny, you have been in my thoughts! I am so glad you were gifted a lift chair. My hubby sure couldn't get by without his. I don't know how in the world you made it without a bed for so many nights! That would be tough. Glad you are sleeping well on the new one.
Enjoy the wild live..especially the fox! Take care. Karen
