May 6, 2012-Did You See The Moon?

I had planned on going out last night to take pictures of the moon from the hill above me but it was clouded over.  So all I did see of it was later when it cleared and it was behind the trees, as usual. I even got up at 4 am and took a couple pics but it was still behind trees. There is only one clear spot now that it might have been but I slept through that time. If it's clear tonight I might go out. It will still look about the same.
 I only slept about three hours all night. Jasper, my turtle, had come out from under the chair last night so I put her in the tub. Well, she never slept and kept making noise in there all night. She keeps kicking at her back end so I think she is egg bound or going to lay eggs. I made her stay in till this morning then I took her back out. She was climbing up the sides of the tub so I knew she wanted back out. She headed right back into the living room and under the chair. Poor thing. I really should just have her put to sleep. If she's egg bound there is nothing you can do. She will die. Even the vets can't help her That's what I've read anyway. And there's no vets around here that take care of exotic animals. She still can't walk good either. The back leg seems worse than it was before, which leads me to believe there are eggs inside pressing on a nerve.
I changed my flange again this morning.  I really should have changed it yesterday because I felt the sting. When it's working good, you won't feel anything. Of course it was bleeding and raw right next to the stoma. If I can't get it healed the flanges will never stick. I am desperate now so I put the Stomahesive powder and the barrier film on this time. I know it won't last two days but maybe it will heal it a bit. I haven't had one last for two days yet. It's a far cry from the six to seven days that I was used to all year. Damn it!

On the brighter side, it's a beautiful, sunny day! Might get up to 75 degrees. I've seen a couple new young squirrels. But yesterday the hawk got one and was eating it up on a branch in the woods. All the mommy squirrels were crying and the crows were yelling at the hawk. The hawk hangs back there a lot now. Probably because there were lots of babies back there to catch. It's sad but that's nature.
I'm very tired today so am watching TV and don't plan on doing much.
I've been doing good. haven't had one piece of candy or any cookies in the past week. I won't weigh myself till June 1st though. I'll do this one month at a time if I can. I even have cookies in the freezer and some candy in the drawer. I won't touch it. When I say i'm going to lose weight, I mean it! This time..LOL I had to be in the right frame of mind and ready to do it. I've always been that way. When I make up my mind to do something then I do it. Of course if something real bad happens to me then I might have to eat some chocolate. But I'm hoping not.
