Saturday, August 6, 2011-Rainy Day

It's been a crummy, rainy day but I don't care. I'm inside. Don't like the dampness though. It's harder to breathe and the mold and mildew gets worse.
I've been tired for the past two days. Didn't feel like doing too much. My legs are bothering me a lot. They hurt even when I'm in bed. The right ankle and leg area is still swelling all the time. I try to put that foot up as much as I can but it's hard when I'm up and down too all the time.
Nina finally called me after not hearing from her for almost two months. She's been on crutches for three weeks. She fell on her stairs when she was carrying Jessi to her bedroom at 1:30 in the morning. She sprained her ankle and hurt her Achilles tendon. She has one of those air casts on and is just starting therapy. It will be a few more weeks till she can really walk on it. And she will be starting back to school soon. So I guess it's been tough over there at their house. Good thing the kids are bigger and can do more. Nina says she goes to the grocery store and the kids push the cart while she walks with the crutches. She won't use a riding cart.
The kids still have the chipmunk. But one of their cats went missing and never came back so Nina figures it must have gotten killed. She really shouldn't let her cats out but they always have.
Jessi might have Lyme's Disease. That poor kid seems to get all the bad luck when it comes to being sick. Nina said she won't know for sure till they get the rest of the blood work back but it did show positive. They think she might have Mono also. Can't believe that! She isn't on any medication yet until they know for sure what it is. I thought Mono was catchy but Nina said the Dr. says it's not unless you drink out of the same glass. It's spread through saliva. We used to call it the "Kissing Disease" when I was growing up. Never knew anyone that had it though. Poor Jessi.
Nina won't be at the Miller Reunion Saturday but she said she might come to Rick's picnic on the 20th if everyone is up to it and she can get around better.
I had some people come over today to pick up a couple of nice cobalt blue vases that I had for sale. They were "Indiana Glass". Very pretty. I also have a girl coming sometime to pick up a nice gold framed mirror that I've had for 33 years. And another guy is coming Tuesday to buy my Ronald Reagan 24 K Gold Inaugural Medals. I'm getting rid of a few things slowly anyway.
I still haven't gotten the entertainment center out of here...but a kid will be coming to take it as soon as he gets someone to come with him. It can't be moved by only one person.
Nina thinks I shouldn't be selling everything yet. She says my apartment might look too empty..Ha! Ha! But she will be glad someday when she doesn't have to move all that stuff out herself.
Looks like another rainy day tomorrow and very humid. Yuck. I won't be going out. That's for sure! I don't have to go out again till Tuesday.
I didn't see any foxes today and my Granny still hasn't come around. I can't keep thinking about her though because it bothers me to think that she might be dead. I don't trust some of these neighbors around here. They might poison the foxes because they don't like them. Those kind of foxes are misunderstood. If people see them out during the day they think they have rabies. If only they knew more about them but most people are ignorant about wild life. And those kind of foxes are very meek and shy. Their worst enemies are humans and dogs.
I saw the bunny rabbit outside today so he is still alive and well. He's so cute.
Well. It's time for me to go to bed. Take care everyone.
