March 3, 2011-Stayed In For The Past Two days

Yesterday was sure a blustery day. That wind was terrible. We had white out conditions here early in the day. It didn't snow much but when it blew it sure looked like a lot...The day started out warm at about 35 degrees and steadily dropped all day. When we woke up this morning it was very cold. Four below zero and it only got up to about 20 today. But it was sunny. The weather is unpredictable now. By Saturday it will be in the 40's and raining.
Agway (Aubuchon) called me today and they got a shipment of my bird chow in. Thank heavens! Those small 4 lb. bags are dried out and don't have the big pieces of nuts in them like the big bags do. And they are way more expensive to buy them that way. So I'll be going out tomorrow to get those.
Good news on my Flange! It is still sticking and this is the 4th day!! Yaaayyyy!! I am so happy. It doesn't mean the next one will but I'm hoping. I will change this one in the morning. I want a clean flange on. Don't think I'd ever want to keep one on for longer than this. Besides I can feel the seal breaking down a bit. I might have to change it tonight. But not if I don't have to. I'm afraid it would come unstuck to soon by lying in bed and tossing and turning before it had time to set in on my belly. I have changed the bag a few times during this four days though. The drainable ones get worn out from cleaning them all the time. I have been using a few closed end ones for the past two days. When they get half full I just take them off and put a new one on. I clean them out first before throwing them away though. They tell you that you don't have to but I don't want to put a full bag of crap in my garbage! Yikes! It seems unsanitary to me. Even though people clean up after their dogs and that goes right in the garbage. I still stick my used bags into sealed baggies before they go into the garbage. I like my drainable ones better but didn't want to waste them. I only have ten for the month. And I have quite a few of the closed end ones. They feel more comfortable at night.
I was watching the mother deer with her two twins out there tonight. The twins are grown now but they still hang with her. Cute. The one with the hurt face was out there earlier than the other ones. I thought maybe he was one of the twins but now I can see he isn't. Still have not seen the foxes to get any pics. And it's too cold to hang out the window at night waiting for them. I did see their eyes shining tonight when I shined the flashlight up on the hill. I whistled to them and let them know I was putting their treats out. They will be down later after I close the shade.
Ellie (Bly) Her first married name, lives here in my building. Her daughter in law died this week. Priscilla was Donny Bly's wife. I went to school with Don. That's sad. She was only 63. Guess they found her slumped over the steering wheel. She had never left. She must have had a heart attack. I haven't heard anything else yet. I didn't know her. My sister, Chris, did and said that Priscilla was a real nice lady and kept that family together really. Hope Donny doesn't go off the deep end now.
Haven't heard from anyone in my family this week so I don't know what is going on with anyone.
So that's all for now. I'll be back as soon as I feel like it. Ha! Take care everyone.
