December 31, 2012-Happy New Year!-More Photos

I want to wish everyone a very happy and healthy new year. I never thought I'd see another new year come in, but here I am yet! I'm blessed for sure!
There's lots of snow outside and I can't get out at all. I don't think we will be having any thaw for at least a week. I won't even attempt to walk out there. I will have to depend on my family all winter I guess. I don't like it but that's the way it has to be.
I'm having some weird pain in my right, outer knee area now too. When I get up I can hardly walk because of the pain. It goes away after I walk for a while.
I haven't heard from anyone since last week. I don't know how Nina made it to Albany on those snowy days.
I am adding a few more pictures of Alysha and her baby, and Faith's family. Also one of Mike and his girls at Christmas. I got them off their Facebook page and then put them together. Also got one of Pam and her kids.
I'll be back next year! Ha! Take care everyone!

December 28, 2012-Can't Believe This Year Is About Over

I'm sorry I haven't gotten back here in so long. Just never seem to get the time. I'm always too busy with my photos or looking through old Ilion pics on Facebook and gathering new ones.
Christmas is over. I did not go to my niece's. Only four of my siblings went. The girls. None of the boys went. Gavin did show up with his wife and baby. Got a good pic of Xander that Pam took. I'll add the pics I have so far.
Nina stopped over on Sunday with the kids so I could give them their gifts. Then on Monday poor Jessi fell off a stool and got a concussion and a cut near her eye. Jason, Nina's boyfriend,  had to take her to the emergency room for an MRI. She was on a stool in the kitchen at her house and fell off. She's been told over and over not to play on it I guess. Nina was in Albany but didn't get back home till 6:30. Jessi is okay but has a black eye. I just hope her head never bothers her in the future.
We got hit with a foot of snow from the 26th to the 27th. It sure looks pretty. Guess I won't be going out for a long time. Besides, my car battery is just about had it. Jim is going to come down one of these days and get me a new one. He did not make it to Christmas because he's had the Flu. He called me that day and said he was feeling a little better but not enough to go anywhere. And Patty's mom is about ready to go. They even gave her last rites the other day. I haven't heard anything though. She's been in a lot of pain since having her leg amputated. It will be a blessing for her. She's in the nursing home in Ilion.

My tumor is bothering me a lot more now. This might be my last year also. Day by day. But I'm okay and not in real bad pain or anything.

Steve has been down south with Alysha. I've got one pic of him and the baby so far.

Ginny called me yesterday. She and Othiniel were up on the little hill by their home again. I guess he was carrying a rifle in case anything tried to attack them. By the way she talks I think the other boys are with their father somewhere else. Very strange and she still won't tell me anything. She doesn't want anyone to know. She hasn't talked to Heather in a while. The other kids won't talk to her any more. Can't blame them.

I'm trying to think back. Can't remember what else has been going on. The woman upstairs is due back home this weekend. Oh joy! More noise. It's been nice and peaceful for the past week. She's in Florida.
They found the black guy upstairs, dead. He'd been dead for about a week the coroner seems to think. His family had called the office because they hadn't heard from him and he was supposed to be down there for Christmas. he takes the bus. Somewhere near NYC. He smoked and he drank I guess. I didn't know anything about him. I wouldn't want to be moving in that apartment.. There's one new woman in here but I haven't seen her yet. And they are working on another apartment downstairs. Soon I won't know anyone here. There's only a few of us old regulars left.
I finally got my recert papers today. My rent has gone up $12. But that's how much I got extra in my SS check for this year so I won't miss anything.
I can't think of anything else right now. So here's a few pictures for you. Take care everyone. Happy New Year!! Can't believe I'm here to see another year come in!!
The kids at Jessica and Mike's on Christmas day. Debby will be bringing over her pics soon.
Nina and the kids on Sunday before Christmas.
Tilly, the one twin and her Aunt in the deep snow last night, the 27th.

December 17, 2012-Time Flies-Happy Holidays

I just can't seem to get back here as often any more. Sorry.
It sure has been a sad few days for all those affected by the senseless shootings in CT. I don't think anyone has had a dry eye over this incident.  I put an old poem on a background about children. In fact, I made a few with different poems. This is just one by Ron Tranmer.

May God help all those families get through this difficult time. That's all I will say about this. It's just too sad.

As far as myself, I haven't been feeling as well lately. The tumor in my groin or lower belly area is getting larger. When I went out the other night to do some shopping it was bothering me a lot and I had some pain in my liver area. I was glad to get back home.  I don't know if this will be my last holiday season or not but I have been very fortunate to have lived this long without any pain. I am not afraid to die at all. I just don't like pain or being sick. Now if I could just get hold of some Helium I'd be all set when it gets to that point. Helium is a painless way to die. That's why you have to be certified to get the tanks these days. People were getting assisted suicide by using Helium. I think we all should be able to go when we choose. Especially with terminal illnesses.

Jeanne stopped by yesterday. She looks good. Her hair always looks good but she has it shorter right now and I like it. I wish I'd get the energy to cut mine again. It really needs it.
I told her I wouldn't be going to the Christmas gathering. She understands. Her daughter, Jessica is having it at her house. Everyone has to leave by 5 pm. It's from 1 to 5. That's because Jess and Mike entertain his family early that morning and then his parents in the evening. So our family is in between. That sure makes for a very long day. Don't know how they can do it. It's nice to be young..Ha!

My daughter, Ginny, called me last night. She and her youngest son had climbed a hill near their home to get good cell phone signals. Everything is going okay with them I guess. She never tells me much. She was waiting for her daughter, Heather to call her back. But it was getting dark and she had to get back down the hill. She sounded as if she didn't know the way back and was relying on Othiniel to lead her.. Hope she didn't get lost in the woods. I don't know about that kid..LOL
I'm not sure when Steve is leaving to go down to NC to see his Grandson. I think this week. At least there is no snow on the ground here, so getting to the airport will be okay. It's coming back that you never know about. They say we might get some snow this coming weekend. maybe just in time for Christmas. That would be nice.
I think I've mentioned the young deer that always come. Well, it seems that one twin is missing, along with her mom. I have not seen them since the last day of hunting. The girl next door on the hill said there were a lot of gunshots that day up behind them. I feel so sad. I loved them when they ran over here together every day. I called them Milly and Tilly. It's Milly that is missing. She had the cuter, slimmer face of the two. Tilly is still coming with her Aunts and sometimes alone. They are very easily spooked right now after all the hunters being up there. Tilly is  a lot more nervous than she ever was before. Milly was the brave one that always came first. This is a picture of them on Dec. 1st. I am so glad they can't be shot at any more. At least Tilly still has a chance. And she is with the adult Does to keep her warm through the winter.

The black squirrel is still around and he's healthy and active. I sure hope he lives for a long time. The hawks are out here every day now, looking for something to kill. They mostly go after the birds and smaller critters. The black squirrel will stick out like a sore thumb on the snow this winter. But they are tough. It's the little red ones I worry about the most. The hawks love them. I still have two around out of the four I used to have.
Nature is beautiful and cruel at the same time but that's the cycle of life. If it's nature I don't mind. It's the humans that I don't like killing the animals. It's barbaric in this day and age.

I hope everyone has a nice Christmas and holiday season. Hug your kids more. Merry Christmas!

I started making this but never finished. I was going to add a bunch of my birds and some deer but I never got around to it. I love this photo that I took a few years ago of the back woods. It's the same one I used for my critters in this one:

December 9, 2012-No Snow Yet-Pics Of Alysha And Jessica's Girls

Still no snow on the ground here and it's in the 40's. Rain coming in this evening. It's going to hit 50 tomorrow and then back to normal but still no snow in sight. I guess the bad winter we are supposed to get isn't going to start till January. That would be better. Then everyone can travel better for the holidays.
Alysha is posting pictures of Benny almost everyday. She looks good and looks like her baby belly has already gone. But she was thin anyway.
Benny is sleeping while Spencer, the dog, looks on. And Alysha holding a sleeping Benny. I'm waiting for one with her and the baby with his eyes open.
Steve and his girlfriend, Grace, will be heading down to visit Alysha and the baby the week before Christmas I think. Then hopefully I'll have some pics of Steve, Alysha and Benny together.

Not much else going on yet. haven't heard from anyone. Oh. I have a picture of Jessica's little girls! She posted them on Facebook so I took them. They are getting so big. Little Madison looks a lot like Jeanne did when she was little.
 Madison and Abigail
Jessica and Mike are having Christmas at their home this year. I won't be going though. It's too much for me. Hope someone takes pictures. I'll tell Deb to take her camera if she goes.

Take care everyone. Merry Christmas!

December 4, 2012-Having Some Discomfort-New Pics Of Alysha

My right side in my liver area is starting to bother me a little now. Guess it's starting. But I'm here another day!
I went out last night to Aubuchon for critter food and then to Walmart for a few things. I had a hard time walking around. Just wasn't up to it really, but I went anyway.
The night before I got four loads of laundry done. I always have to clean the machines and the floor before I even start. No one ever cleans in there. That tired me out by the time I was done. So maybe all the bending and from getting the clothes out made that area hurt more. I don't know and I'm not going to let it bother me.
It's a beautiful day today. It's going to get in the low 60's before the rain comes in late this afternoon and the temps drop again. Too warm for this time of year.
There are over 750 cases of the flu in the Oneida County area so far.  And that's only the ones they know about. The hospitals are getting strict on visitors now. I can't believe that some people will go visit people at a hospital when they know they have a cold or are getting sick.
I haven't heard if anyone is sick here in my building yet. I don't think so. But it won't be long. Whenever I have to step outside my apartment to take the garbage down or get mail or anything, when I come back inside I wash my hands and I always spray salt water in my nostrils and gargle with salt water when I come back from shopping. That Walmart is always full of people coughing. I do my best to keep from catching anyone else's germs. Just coughing alone would kill me.  When something goes down the wrong pipe and I cough it hurts my chest so bad. Especially on the left side. I have borderline Emphysema and I can feel it at times. This mold and mildew in the walls doesn't help any. It's been damp this past week and when I was doing my laundry and would walk back into my apartment I could really smell it. But when I'm in all the time I don't notice it. I keep my air purifier on constantly in my bedroom. It helps a little. But it also draws air from any cracks in the walls and that scares me. I might be dragging more mold in with that thing, than not.

On a happier note, Alysha has finally posted a picture of her with little Benny!! She's got him all dressed in the Steeler's colors..LOL That was his daddy's favorite team. His cousin, Jordyn is holding him also. He sure is a cutie!

It was Pam's birthday yesterday, the 3rd and tomorrow is Jane's birthday. I didn't make any cards because I'm out of ink.
I won't be sending out Christmas cards this year either. I can't afford to make them nor buy the stamps. Wherever I can, I will just wish everyone a Merry Christmas online and in e-mails. That's just the way it is this year.
Well, I guess I better go do something. I just wanted to update this because I never know when I'll be back.
Take care everyone. Happy Holidays!! Merry Christmas!!

Alysha had Her Baby Benny!-November 29, 2012

Alysha went in to labor around 5 pm on Wednesday, the 28th. She had little Benny at 2:06 am on Thursday morning. So she and Benny will share birthdays because the 29th is Alysha's birthday and she turned 30 years old. Isn't that a great birthday present?!! He weighed 7 lbs., 14 oz. and was 20 inches long. He looks perfect and they both are doing very well. Here's a couple pics I made for her with the two pics Faith uploaded so far.

November 26, 2012-Cold Few Days

I spent a nice quiet day at home on Thanksgiving. Made myself a Mrs. Calender's Pot Pie. It was real good! Pam called. She was home and John was working till 3 pm. They were going to John's family's home for dinner.
Debby went down to Danielle's. Nina had her father's side of the family over to her house for dinner. She wanted to bring me a plate but I said no. I don't need all that food.
Alysha hasn't had her baby yet, as of this morning anyway.
This is Alysha and Faith on Thanksgiving day. Her belly looks like a perfect basketball..Ha!

Steve won't be going down till Christmas, according to Alysha.
I haven't heard anything from Jeanne. Debby said she was going to stay home on Thanksgiving also. Deb had talked to her the day before.
Rich and Ann went out to Rochester to be with Ann's daughter and grandchildren. Here's a pic of them.
It sure was a nice day that day! Up in the 50's.

I went out Friday evening to get groceries and to Aubuchon for critter food. At least Walmart was quiet by that time. I was afraid it might snow a lot and then I wouldn't be able to get out.

Nina will be starting her new job on Dec. 13th. She says she's looking at apartments down there and thinks she will probably move and rent her house out till she decides if she wants to sell it and to make sure she likes her job first. I'm glad. I didn't like her driving all that ways every day. Time will tell.
Jim and Patty stayed home for Thanksgiving too. They won't be traveling out to see Matthew at Christmas either. Jim called me the other day and we talked for two hours. he's trying to get a roof done up in Middleville before too much snow comes. He better hurry!  Winter is upon us.
Carol spent Thanksgiving with her daughters out there in Las Vegas. She said she had a nice day. Mike's girls were home for the holidays from college. I see their pics online but haven't heard anything from Mike. I presume he was with them.

I'm doing okay. Nothing has changed. Still as fat as ever..Ha!
On the 24th it snowed and it was very blustery. It didn't stick too much in this area but other places got a few inches. Then it snowed gently on the 25th. No accumulation on that day either. And this morning there were snowflakes in the air and it is a bit warmer. 33 degrees. The sun is peeking through and looks to be a nice day.  Winter is here I think. They say it's going to be a normal winter this year, with lots of snow and cold. I hope they are wrong. I would like to get out on my own a few times during the winter. If not I'll have to ask for a ride maybe.
That's about it for another week.. Take care everyone.

November 19, 2012-Catching Up

Where does the time go? I can't believe it's been this long since I last posted!
Just to catch up on a few things. I finally got The Medicine Shoppe to deliver two items that I needed badly. My last flange was on my belly and I only had two pouches left. So that was real close. I just got them on Thursday. There was some confusion between the doctor's office and getting the scripts to the pharmacy. I was on the phone so much with one place or the other. The doctor's office said they sent the scripts out last Friday. When I called the pharmacy on the following Tuesday they said they didn't have them. So back and forth I went. Hopefully I will continue to get my stuff from The Medicine Shoppe. They didn't make me pay for the 20% Copay till they find out if Medicaid will pay for it. I don't see why not when the other drug store I dealt with for two years never had a problem. If they don't get reimbursed then they will bill me for it. For one box of flanges with 10 to a box and one box of pouches with 30 in a box, my cost would be $30. And I didn't even order my other stuff that I need yet. I need two boxes of pouches a month. The box of 10 flanges last one month. They only had one box of pouches for now. I am glad I still have some of the other products for now but will need them next month. I'll be so glad when this is all straightened out. I've been under some stress over all this.
Rite Aid bought out Empire Drugs that used to be Lennox Pharmacy in Ilion. That's why they had all my records. Only to find out that they don't handle the Medicaid part and that's why I had to find another pharmacy. And Rite Aid had me on a string for three weeks.
Then I had a problem with my computer for a few days. I had made a video in my Proshow Producer software. I had it sent to Youtube from the software and to their Photodex web site also. That all worked fine. Then I made a video in a DVD format for myself. That worked fine also. It was saved to my Docs folder. It was a larger size so I made one in a smaller size for web sites etc. So I had these two videos in my docs. I looked at the DVD file and it worked great. Then I was going to look at the smaller version and realized that it was blank and that when I clicked on it something happened and it hung up my computer. I tried to delete it. I couldn't. I tired moving it and renaming it. I couldn't do either and everytime I touched it it would hang my computer up and I'd have to shut it off manually.
So I just left it alone. I figured if I didn't go near it then I could still do things on the computer. I could. Then I had to resize some pictures in my PSP software. I made a mistake and clicked on "documents" to see if I had downloaded any pictures. As soon as i clicked on the docs folder it hung my PSP software up and I couldn't do a thing. That's when I started looking for something online. After I had shut off and turned back on again.  I downloaded virus and spyware remover stuff and scanned the computer a dozen times. Always came up clean. I've never kept any virus remover tools on my computer and never had any problems. Then I'd delete these if I didn't want them. I downloaded Microsoft Security Essentials and let that scan my whole computer. That came up clean also. But it shut off my Windows Defender. So I had to decide which one to keep. I ended up keeping the Essentials just in case. but I can turn it off so it won't interfere with any of my programs when I use them.
So I'm still stuck with that blank video in my docs. Decide to look at forums online and after trying a couple things I finally found one that worked! It's free and is called, "Move On Boot". It transferred that video into it's program and deleted it! No more problems!! My computer is back to normal again. Thank heavens! I hate when I can't solve a problem. But I did!
Now on to my health. The tumor in my groin is growing and is bothering me sometimes. No pain though. My belly is tender on that side too. But everything is still working so I'm not going to worry about it.
My belly around my Stoma is all irritated again though and itching like crazy. I wanted to get the spray barrier film instead of the wipes but for now I guess I'm stuck with the wipes. But they sting like crazy. And the adhesive remover isn't any fun either. I think that irritates me more.
I've been having a few back problems but that comes and goes. My head hasn't felt like jelly since that one time a couple weeks ago. But that spasm in my upper chest on the left side, under my rib cage is still there and drives me nuts too. It's the weirdest feeling. I have researched and found a lot of people to have this same problem. They never seem to find any answers for it though. As long as it isn't painful then I'll not worry about that either.
I haven't heard anything from Nina or anyone else since my birthday on the 1st. I never do anything for Thanksgiving. Nina goes to her sister's or if she cooks then it's all her father's family and I would never go anyway. I like staying home. I used to cook myself a turkey breast but I'm only cooking myself a pot pie and I also bought fresh cranberries. That's all I want. Nice and simple. I don't even feel like getting out my Christmas stuff this year. I don't have much. I threw away my little tree and some other stuff. Gave the kids some. I just don't have the energy. But I'm sure I'll get some out soon. I don't have any lights either. Maybe I'll buy a small box of them. I thought I'd be dead by now so got rid of so much. Guess I could have kept that stuff around..Ha! On the 22nd is my two years since my rectal surgery. I bet the Dr. would be surprised that I'm still here when he said I wouldn't last a year because the cancer had spread to my liver. I really should send him a card. I never did last year.
I haven't made out the papers to donate my body to science yet. There's still a few more questions I have to ask them. I did get everything I need in the mail though. has anyone else ever heard of Medcure?? It's out of Oregon. They work through a local funeral home  when they are notified that one has died. They pay all expenses. I am going to run that by Fenner's to see what Pam Hess has to say about them. This company won't tell me which funeral home they work with in this area. That's what I want to find out.

The weather has been beautiful, but cold for the past week and will continue to be nice right through Thanksgiving. That will be great for the travelers. It's going in the low 50's this week!

My black squirrel is still here! He's found a good spot. Ha!
I hope you all have a nice Thanksgiving, for those who are in the states and everyone else have a nice week. Not sure when I'll get back here. Take care.

November 10, 2012-Trouble Finding Pharmacy

It's been a nerve wracking week. Since my original pharmacy closed up in Ilion and never let us know I've been stuck trying to find one that will fill my prescriptions for my Ostomy supplies. All my records went to Rite Aid. but they don't deal with the Medicaid part. Only Medicare. That means I'd have to pay out of my pocket for the balance that Medicare doesn't pay. The 20%. So after they gave me the run around for a couple weeks and got my stuff and then tell me how much my bill will be when they deliver, I said NO WAY! Keep the stuff! So then I called The Medicine Shoppe in Ilion. They aren't sure about the Medicaid part either so I have to pay the 20% and if they get reimbursed then they will give it back to me. So this means I will only get my stuff monthly instead of the three months because there's no way I can afford to pay all that.
I had my doctor send all the scripts to Rite Aid at first. Now they are no good and I have to have them send all new ones to The Medicine Shoppe for only one month at a time. By the time I got all this straightened out it was too late in the afternoon on Friday. I never got a call back from my doctor's office nor the SS Dept. I wanted to ask them about all this. Now it's a long weekend with Veteran's Day so I won't be able to do anything till Tuesday. I have one flange left and only a few bags. Hopefully I'll get the bags and the flanges by Wednesday. That's all I'm getting for now. I got enough of the other stuff for a month, thank heavens. By then the pharmacy will know if they will be getting reimbursed or not.
I checked into ordering by mail from a place that said they took medicare and Medicaid but after talking to them, they say they won't deal with NY because of the low amount that they pay.
If for some reason this doesn't work out then I will have to get Home Care in. Then they will get my stuff. That means a nurse or aide coming in at least once a week to help me. I hat anyone in my space but if it has to be that way then I will get them. I know I could use some help. I can't clean my place like I used to. Trying to vacuum and walk with the walker at the same time is sort of tough. Ha! The other women in this building have people helping them all the time and it doesn't cost them anything. I'm just too stubborn to admit I need help I guess.
Besides all that crap I guess it's been an okay week. As you can see on my header photo, I have a new critter. A black squirrel showed up on the 3rd and is still here every day now. I had never seen a black on in my whole life. And I've asked lots of people and no one has seen one around here. there are some in Utica. I like them. he or she is so pretty. Maybe we'll be having a family in the spring. They do mate with the gray ones from what I've read.
The next two days are going to be in the 60's before the temps drop again. looks like nice weather for a while except for a little rain maybe on Tuesday.
I don't know if I mentioned this gurgling under my left breast bone but it's been doing it for a month now and it's getting worse. It feels like a muscle spasm that won't go away. No pain or anything with it though. Just is the weirdest feeling. I thought it was my heart at first or maybe fluid building up in my lungs but I would have had pain. Every time I move or get up it twitches like crazy. I can even see it! I've been searching online and lots of people have it and most say the doctors can never find the cause. Then another forum said it might be the beginning of Pancreatic Cancer. Well, I don't think so.  Or I'd have some kind of pain.
When I first started having it is when  I thought I had a mini TIA because my head felt funny that day and I asked the lady upstairs for some aspirins. it was like that for a few days and then went away. I guess if it gets worse then I'll go to the doctors but for now I'm not.
Oh! I saw two fat raccoons out here the other night! I never see any of those things much. Got a few pictures. I had to open the window and they ran at first then one peeked around the corner at me and they stayed still long enough for me to get a few pics. I kept hearing this strange noise so looked out with a flashlight and saw them. They have the cutest faces. I won't talk to them because I don't want them to become used to me. They were eating leftover nuts and seeds I guess.

I see two different skunks but that's all. One is a black one that lives up in the woods and the other is almost all white and he lives out front somewhere. I only see the daddy fox now and then at night but not his mate nor any pups now. :(

I guess that's all for now. Take care everyone.

November 2, 2012- Had A Nice Birthday

First of all I want to say that I sure hope all those people down in the city and New Jersey get some help. They say that FEMA isn't doing much. It's a terrible situation down there. I feel so bad for all those people. We are very blessed that we didn't get any damage from the storm. I still have a roof over my head and power. The power never went off at all during that wind. But yesterday, the 1st, the power went off at 5 pm for about 30 minutes. I have no idea why yet. I did hear sirens so I'm assuming it was an accident.
It's been raining on and off since Monday. But we do see peeks of the sun sometimes.
It was my birthday on the 1st. My sister, Debby came over Halloween night and spent a few hours. She didn't want to be home handing out candy..Ha!
Jeanne and Jane stopped over yesterday and Nina came with the girls later in the evening. I have so much sweet stuff around now. Yuck! I have decided that i am going to go on a Gluten free diet. Nina has been on it for a couple months and she feels great and doesn't even have PMS any more. She has had that all her life. Everyone I know that goes on it says they feel so much better.
The kids bought me scratch off lottery tickets and they were thrilled when I won on a few of them. Won $58!! I told Nina to keep it because I might need her to pick me up something at the store, now that the weather is getting colder.
I also got a nice surprise from a few of my classmates. The sent me a very nice dish garden. It's beautiful!
So I guess I had a great birthday!! My 66th. Never know when it might be my last. I never expected to be here for this one. It's a miracle so far!
Here's the pics. I'll be back soon. Take care everyone.

Thanks for all the beautiful cards too!!

Saturday, October 27, 2012-Good News For Deb

Debby has just found out that it is NOT a tumor in her liver. She has a lot of cysts on it like I do. But nothing that looks dangerous and she doesn't have to go back for six months for another MRI. The pain in her leg has gone too. So it's good news for her!! Thank God!
I guess everyone on the East coast is getting ready for the big storm. It might hit us with heavy winds and lots of rain but we will know more as the time passes. So far they say Tuesday will be our worst. With the full moon and high tides it might be real bad for the coast lines. Let's hope not. Hurricane Sandy is huge but it's the jet streams that might cause two different fronts to crash into each other and cause more problems.
I went out to Walmart last night to get a few things. I was going to get batteries but then forgot. For my portable radio and my flashlight. Hopefully I won't need them. Because I'm not going out again.
Got some stinging in my groin tumor this morning. Had a wicked back ache for the past two days so have been back on the Ibuprofen.

Jane and Savey will be heading to Myrtle Beach for a few weeks soon. I think she said they are leaving on the 6th.
Nina got the job in Albany and starts on December 13th! It's going to be a long commute for her every day. I will worry about her on those bad winter mornings.
Nina and the kids are going for some pumpkins today. At first I was going to have her pick me up one for the squirrels but then I remembered that there is always a pumpkin out front and they never touch it. So I told her to pick me up a bag of apples instead. She and the kids might come over tomorrow.
Debby drove down to Gloversville this morning to pick up two of her grandchildren and then she's bringing them back home with her for the night. Then she has to drive them back home tomorrow. She sure does a lot of driving.
Today is a nicer day than yesterday I think. Even though it's cooler. It was humid yesterday. I didn't like that. The clouds are moving in this afternoon though.
I was just talking to the two fawns. They come every day to eat the nuts. They are sisters. I haven't seen the male one in a long time. I think he has joined up with the young bucks and is wandering with them now. Unless he got hurt or something. It's weird that he has disappeared already.  But maybe that's what the males do. I was hoping to see his little antlers grow.
I worry now that it's hunting and trapping season for the fox. I haven't seen all four of them for over a week now. just the dad and one of the pups. If there are people walking around in the woods then they will be very careful not to be seen.
All the leaves are just about gone off the trees now except for one with yellow leaves that are still hanging on.

Alysha only has one more month to go before her baby comes. She will be glad when that is over. It isn't easy for that last month. And she's so thin. But she has gained some weight. She looks good.
Guess that's all for now. Take care everyone and whoever is in the storm's path, stay safe.

October 21, 2012-Bad News For Debby

My sister, Jane, called me this morning. She needed help with some computer stuff. She's at one of her shows out in Rochester and her computer was getting real slow. As I was talking to her she asked if I has heard about Debby. No I hadn't heard anything from Deb since she was here Tuesday. Her pain was getting worse so she went back to the doctor and they wanted her to go get an MRI. So now they have found a tumor in her liver, along with some cysts. The cysts don't matter but that tumor does! So now I will have to talk to Debby and find out what she has to do next. I presume she will have to go get a biopsy and then go from there. I sure hope it's not cancer. They can always cut a piece of the liver out if need be. So I'll keep you informed on her as I get any news.

I went out last evening to Walmart to get some groceries. Loved the cool air and I took my camera and got a good, clear shot of the moon.
It's partly sunny today and we had a little rain shower this morning. Might get some more on and off today. It's quite breezy also.  I'll be watching movies off and on. All the scary ones are on now for Halloween. Some I've seen. I don't like all those "Holloween" ones and I get sick of vampire ones...

The lady next door to this building saw at least eleven turkeys !  I haven't seen any over this way yet. I haven't seen the deer in the past two days. Except one of the young ones wandered over one day.
There was a nice fog in the woods with the sun coming up yesterday morning. I loved the way it looked. Got some pics. I'll put the collage here of the morning and then evening sun going down and the moon last night.
Take care everyone.

October 18, 2012-Weather Has Been Nice

I didn't realize it's been this long since I've written anything. I'm getting so I don't like writing much I guess.
I've been out a couple times. Last Friday I went to Aubuchon and Walmart. It wasn't bad walking around the store this time. I didn't have that pain like I did before, thank heavens.
We've had a couple nice days this week. The leaves are dropping fast and the woods look bare now. I've seen the deer quite often lately. It's getting dark so early now and when the clocks go back it will  be dark even earlier.
I have to get all new prescriptions sent out to Rite Aid so I printed out a paper to send to my doctor and then she can fax them to Rite Aid. My pharmacy in Ilion closed up. Empire Pharmacy, which used to be Lennox Pharmacy. They never even told anyone they were closing. I got a paper from Rite Aid saying all the records are with them now. I don't care. They deliver and also have an automatic renewal, which Lennox's didn't have. That will be a lot better for me. I hated to keep calling the doctor every time I needed them again. I'm hoping to get a three month supply delivered at one time. Medicare allows that.
The groin lump seems to be growing. Now and then I feel the burn but most times I don't feel it.
They finally got the striping done in the parking lot today. The maintenance man moved my car yesterday and put it back this afternoon when they were done. It's a good thing we had two nice days so they could get that done.
Debby stopped over to see me yesterday. She's still in pain and says the pain runs down her leg. She doesn't have a primary doctor so I gave her my doctor's name. Maybe she can get in there. She got all moved and that's why she's hurting. She doesn't rest enough.
Steve is all done with his Rabies shots.  I guess he took the cats to the clinic to get their shots. They were lucky that they didn't get anything.
I haven't talked to Nina so still not sure about her new job.

I don't have anything else to report and I don't feel like typing any more.. So you all take care. At least when I write a few words you know I'm still alive. :)

October 10, 2012-Got Groceries-Pain In Groin

Wasn't easy walking around Walmart last night. Was in some pain and was glad to get home. The growth in my groin lymph node is getting much worse. First time it's bothered me so much. But each day I have is a gift that I thought I'd never have last year.
It took me a lot longer to get groceries than it usually does. The pain was making me feel a bit ill. But after I got home and got into my comfortable clothes and slippers I felt much better. It must get irritated when I walk too much now. It is getting larger. I'm not going to do anything about it though. I will take whatever is coming.
I had a bad backache this morning but I took a couple Ibuprofen and it went away.
I did something that I probably should not have done. I climbed out my bedroom window to get a chipmunk out of the live trap. It was 6 pm and raining and it's getting real cold tonight. I was real careful. He was so happy to be free. That trap is trying to catch the rat but I guess that is never going to happen. Damn thing is too smart..Ha!
I hate having the woman upstairs home again. She wasn't gone but for two days. I got woke up out of a sound sleep at 3:30 this morning.

They never did stripe the parking lot. Now we all are parking back in it. I noticed all the leaves and puddles there are on that lot. They really should have cold patched those holes. Water sits in them and I have a huge one right next to my back driver's side door where I have to walk to get to my trunk. I will have to move my car over a bit I think.

Lots of noise around the building today. They are installing a new carpet in an upstairs apartment and those guys were up and down the stairs quite a bit. Then the maintenance man was taking out an air conditioner next to my apartment this afternoon.
Now it's 7 pm and I'm in my bedroom on the computer and I can hear that woman upstairs getting ready to go to bed. That means she will be up in the middle of the night again, flushing that damn toilet. I might just keep my radio on all night. I can sleep through that but not her up there. She walks like an elephant too.
Now I'm going to drink a cup of Chamomile tea and relax a bit and watch some TV. If there's nothing good to watch I'll come back to my computer and watch videos on Youtube.
Take care everyone.

October 8, 2012-This And That-Pam Visited

Steve is doing okay. He got his first round of shots on Thursday. In his butt! That's all I know about him for now.
I haven't been able to go out because the parking lot was being recovered and the guy upstairs moved my car for me and he had to park it way down the street. That was last Thursday!! Then yesterday he moved it up to the side of the building but still too far for me to walk. Tonight it's in the parking lot but will have to be moved out again in the morning so they can paint the stripes. It sure is taking a long time because of rain.
I had Nina pick me up my critter food on Saturday and she brought it over Saturday evening.
Pam and her daughter, Stephanie and her grandson, Nathan, came to visit me on Sunday. They didn't stay long because they were going back to Pam's house for the day so Nathan could visit the dog, Tank, who used to live at the house till Pam moved out and took him with her. This is a pic of them.

Steph and Nathan are living back at the house with Greg in Herkimer.

Jim helped Debby move into her mobile home on Saturday but I haven't heard anything about that day yet. It was a rainy morning so I'm hoping they got everything moved okay.
That's all for now. I have to do a few things before bedtime.
Take care everyone.

October 5, 2012-Fox Was Rabid

The tests came back positive for rabies so now my brother is undergoing the series of four shots. A neighbor of Steve's had an encounter with that fox the day before and the fox bit his steel toed shoe and he kicked it. Too bad that neighbor didn't alert everyone at that time.
Now we are concerned about Steve's cats. They were always outside and if the fox ate out of their dish then they could be in trouble also. They are not up to date on their rabies shots either. Those cats need to be quarantined for a while to make sure they are not sick. But being the dumb ass that Steve is, he might not do it. Hope his daughter talks to him about that.  She said she was going to. It's a very serious situation. nothing to mess around with.
I was told that they have live trapped 17 Gray Fox on Doty's Golf Course already. I don't know where they were released though. That is not very far from Steve's. Just up over the hill really.
That fox that bit Steve most likely had a mate and maybe even young ones still traveling around with it. The ones here are still with their dad a lot. I never see the female fox though.
Today will be our last warmer day for quite a while. It might even hit 75 today. It was very foggy this morning. Now the sun is shining. Rain coming in for this evening. From then on the temps will only be in the 50's. Perfect weather for me. It's been humid the past few days. I can breathe better in the cooler weather.
I'll be back soon. Just wanted to update you all about my brother.

October 2, 2012-Brother Steve Got Bit By Fox

My brother, Steve, called me late this afternoon to tell me that he got bit by a gray fox. He and Grace had just gotten to his house and when he went to walk in the back door to the porch and the fox was on the porch eating the cat's food. Steve thought it was friendly but all of a sudden it attacked him and bit his ankle and leg. When Steve went outside the fox chased him and Steve had to run fast and he grabbed his bike to put it between he and the fox. The fox then attacked the tires on the bike. The fox also was limping and had a wobbly hip. Steve thought maybe it had got hit by a car. But it never would have attacked him like that and especially chase him. The fox hid under the front porch. Steve said he could smell it. It was probably a male that had left his scent everywhere. Steve's cats were there also but the fox didn't attack them.
Grace called 911 and it took quite a while and then finally a trooper that was a DEC guy came with his rifle. Steve got down off the porch at that time and the fox came running out to attack him again and that is when the trooper shot it. Steve said he only shot once and he died instantly. They shoot them in the lungs so they can send the head away to see if it has rabies.
I kept telling Steve to clean the bite but he never did for two hours. That was real stupid of him I'd say. That would be the very first thing I'd do.
They will have the results by Thursday. The DEC guy told him he should go to Urgent Care to at least get that wound cleaned up and he might need a tetanus shot but Steve said he wasn't going to go and would wait till Thursday. Rabies is nothing to mess with. He should know better! If it comes back positive then Steve will have to get the first shot right away and then three more after that. I heard they can be painful too.
I sure hope that fox was not rabid. Then Steve won't have to go through those shots. But he does have to worry about infection from the bite. I told him to get some Iodine so I think he was going to go to the drug store and get some. And he finally did wash the wounds with soap and water.
He says he wished he had that on video with him running around his yard with the fox after him.. I think Grace took one picture after it was shot. She was too scared to come out of the house and I don't blame her.
So that is the news for today!
I went out this evening to get a few things at Walmart. Got home at 9:15 pm. It was raining slightly and the air felt real good. I've been smelling cigarette smoke all day. Makes me sick!
That's all for now. Take care everyone.

September 30, 2012-My Visitors This Week

The last few days have been gloomy and damp. It's that way again this morning. 52 Degrees and raining lightly. Not very good for taking photos but otherwise I like rainy days.
Jeanne stopped over to see me on Friday. She's been busy making new curtains. She's always making something new for her house. She's very good at it. She didn't stay long. She was picking up her granddaughter at 3 pm from school. She was the one that brought Debby home from the hospital last week. And then she went to see Debby another day to help her with a few things. She was looking forward to a day at home alone to rest up.
Debby came over yesterday. She's walking slow and has a lot pf discomfort. I told her to be really careful. She's doing too much too soon after surgery. And she had major surgery! She was cut all across her lower abdomen and had a total hysterectomy. She did not like the surgeon at all. Said he has terrible bedside manners and doesn't seem to care. She didn't even get a list of things NOT to do after surgery. She thinks she will be okay in six weeks but I have read online where it can take much longer with that kind of surgery.
Next weekend Debby will be moving into her trailer. She said she won't be carrying anything though. I guess Jim and Danielle's boyfriend will be helping her move. And Danielle of course. She's excited to get into her own place. She bought the trailer right next to Jane and Savey's house on Barringer but it's in Rockwell Park. She will have to pay park rent of course but she's on Ilion village electric so it won't cost her much for utilities. The trailer is all electric. The girl that sold it told her the highest bill in the winter was $150.
I never heard of a park charging everyone for the taxes too. Has anyone heard of that? I lived in a park for 19 years and just paid the rent. All that is supposed to be included in the rent I thought. But Deb says that she will have to pay about $150 for village taxes and about $200 a year for school taxes. Jack Fitzer is making money off  people.  I never heard of such a thing. Anyone else ever heard of that kind of an arrangement?
Remember I was talking about Jane and Savey wanting to buy that trailer next to them and then renting it to Deb? Well, they found out they couldn't do it. But this all worked out great for Debby.
I haven't heard anything from Nina yet about her new job. Here's some of Nina's work and college history.

September 24, 2012-I Love This Cooler Weather

Fall is finally here! My favorite time of the year. I got my portable air conditioner all put away till next year. Cleaned it all out. I have to make sure there is not a drop of water left inside. I run just the fan part for a few hours.  Cleaned the filter and vacuumed the elements. I cover it with a big plastic bag and roll it into the closet. Now I have my air purifier running constantly because of the mold and mildew in the walls here.  I can always tell the difference as soon as I stop using the air conditioner. My eyes start bothering me more and my nose runs and I start sneezing. That's why I have to keep the air purifier going. And those filters are not cheap!
I am expecting to hear from the management any day. I haven't heard anything yet about the rat. The live trap is sitting down inside that grate but the rat won't go down there now. He's so smart. I was watching him yesterday as he grabbed grass and leaves and took them inside the rock wall to his nest. At least I know where his nest is. That's where I'll have to put the peanut butter balls and hope to God that no other little critters find them. I am going to ask some of my friends on Facebook if they have a pellet pistol. I could shoot him easy because he is so used to me now that he hangs outside on the grass sometimes. I used to be a very good shot with one of those things. I had two when I moved here but sold them. Wish I hadn't now. I'll figure out something.
I went out last night to Walmart to get a  few groceries. It gets dark so early now. It was nice and cool and the moon was bright. Half moon.  I tried to see it from my window when I got home but it was behind all the trees as usual so didn't bother trying to get a picture. One of these evenings I will take my camera with me and get a good, clear shot at the moon again. I want to try and get out this fall to take some pictures. I haven't done that in a few years.
I've been feeling pretty good lately. Just that tumor in my groin is stinging a bit. Not all the time. just when I try to do too much I think. And that air conditioner was a bit heavy. It was up on my stool and I had to slide it down to the floor. And bending seems to bother it more. That's because it's getting squished when I bend over.
Last night I had a wicked pain in the side of my neck and it's still there a little this morning. I must have strained it yesterday but can't figure out how. It's just a muscle strain I think.
I've been doing real good and haven't taken any Ibuprofen for over a month now. It is an anti inflammatory though and am wondering if maybe they were good for me in one way. But I quit them because of my liver more than anything. It's still better to not have any meds in me if I don't need them yet, so I will stay off them as much as I can.
My sister, Debby, came home on Friday from the hospital I think. I still haven;t talked to her about her operation. She is off work for six weeks now. But the good news is, she bought that trailer that sits right next to Jane and Savey's!! Jane called me yesterday to tell me. That's the one that Jane was going to buy and rent to her. So all she will have to pay is the rent to the park that it sits in and it's all electric and she is on Ilion's so that won't cost her much. I'm so happy for her! She will finally have her own place! It's an older trailer but has been all remodeled and it's real nice. Deb's daughter, Danielle has been up here with her for a few days. And Debby has been out and about. Just hope she doesn't overdo herself before her body heals up properly. She'll be so anxious to get moving that she will end up pulling her stitches if she isn't careful.
Maybe I'll get to see her place someday. I might be able to get up a couple steps.
Nina is waiting for the background check to be complete for her new job. She has already told the college that she might be done in December so they are aware and she said they are happy for her and glad that she will be able to finish out the semester first.
The kids got their pictures taken in school. Can't wait to see them.
Steve had a big house sale and is selling everything. Not because he's planning on moving. I guess he just wants the money. He stays at Grace's every night as it is. Jane told him not to sell Chris's old kitchen table set because it belonged to Gavin but she thinks he did. And he never gave Gavin any money for it. So Jane is pissed at him for that. But that's how Steve is. That's why I would never give him anything that was in the family. He'd end up selling it.
Haven't heard anything about Gavin.
Guess I better get going. Got to uncover my birds and get the day started.
Take care everyone.

September 20, 2012-The Rat

Guess I'm in trouble here at the building where I live. The woman next door spotted the rat and has told the whole building and the office so now I'm waiting for a formal letter telling me to quit feeding the animals. I have gotten two letters in the past 16 years but I ignore them.
Trouble is she has told everyone there's three rats. I have been watching the same rat for over a month now. Yes. There might be another one out there. But there's not three. YET! What these people don't know is I watch the rats to get used to where they walk and their habits before I kill them. That way I am not doing harm to the others. I don't often see rats here but when the guy towards the front on the other street was moving and sawing his logs up, he disturbed the rat's nest. The first time I saw the rat it was coming up through the drain grate, which means he got in that pipe on the other end, which is near the wood pile and traveled into my area. He's just another wild critter but the difference is they multiply fast because they have a very short life span. Only a year usually. So that's the way they keep their species going. People freak out at the sight of a rat.
I talked to the maintenance man and he brought his live trap over and put it down inside the grate. Not sure if that will work or not. Rats are very smart. I was hoping to wait till it got cold when the chipmunks would be gone but now I can't so if I do have to poison them, some chipmunks will die also.  And then if another animal eats the poisoned chipmunks they will get sick and die also. The rats go into  their dens and die so I don't worry about them.
If Andrea, the manager's daughter, gives me a hard time then I will have to start giving them a hard time about the mold and mildew I've been living with all these years.  And if I have to I'll get a reporter over here about that drain system that they never finished. These people take all the money the government gives them and only do half the job and pocket the rest. Don't piss me off! That's all I have to say!

As far as the animals go, I saw the mama deer with ehr three fawns yesterday and the fawns ran under her and started feeding. It was so cute. I got video of it and will add that to my other blog.
Now I will wait and see how this day is going to go.

The bitch upstairs started vacuuming before 8 so I turned my music on loud, which I never do, but I'm pissed at her too. Guess I'll be starting lots of trouble before I croak or get kicked out..Ha! Ha! Ha! And I don't give a shit!!!!
Have a nice day everyone.

September 18, 2012-The Dove

I have to tell you all about the Mourning Dove. I was sitting in my living room late yesterday afternoon and I caught a movement outside, but not in my total view. I saw a hawk on the ground and feathers were flying all over. It had caught a bird. I picked up my camera to take a picture and the hawk must have seen me and flew away. But he didn't take the bird with him. The poor thing had tried to hide inside the wall but had only got his head in. I could see that it was breathing hard so watched it for a while, hoping the hawk would at least come back and take it. But I never saw the hawk again. So now this poor bird is out there in pain with most of it's back feathers gone. I pondered over the situation for a while and decided I'd try to help it if I could. But it was getting dark and he was way out of my reach. I went and got a curtain rod and extended it out as far as I could. Taped it so it wouldn't come apart then reached out the window with it and I could just reach the bird. I gently made it move and kept prodding it till it got close enough for me to reach with my grabber. It still had a lot of spunk and it's eyes were wide open but he was so scared. I only had a small box but had that ready to put him in. I checked  and I didn't see much blood. But it was in rough shape. Had all it's back end feathers torn out and some on top of it's head were gone. I coverd the box and put it in a warm, dark closet till it calmed down.
After talking to a bunch of rehabbers online on Facebook I decided to try and give it some water so I got it back out after about an hour went by. Got a small syringe that I had from years ago when I hand fed my cockatiel and filled it with pure boiled water. I put rubber gloves on and picked up the bird, holding it's wings together. I dribbled some water in the side of it's beak. Not sure if he swallowed any or not. That's when I noticed it's neck bleeding a lot. He also had blood on one of it's legs. I put a towel in the box for him to lie on and covered him back up for the night. But when I checked him at 6 am he was dead. I was relieved because it would have taken months for him in rehab to get those feathers grown back. Maybe he never would have flown again. So it was for the best. I tried and gave him comfort and warmth for his last hours anyway. If I had left it outside the skunk would have come along and tortured it more before eating it. I just couldn't bare the thought of that.
That was my good deed for the day.

On Sunday evening I finally got all my laundry done. That tired me out. Then on Monday morning I went out at 7 am to get critter food and go to Walmart for a few things.
I have been feeling pretty good for a few days so that's when I have to do things. When I have a back ache or pains in my feet or legs I can't do too much. It's amazing when I do feel good. Just wish it would last.
Monday was a beautiful day. No humidity and about 75 degrees. Today, Tuesday, it's raining and will be all day long. Heavy winds coming by five o'clock.
Last Saturday I finally got to see the other Doe. She's the mom to one of the fawns. I hear they are all hanging in a  group way up in the back woods behind the next door neighbor's house.
We are wondering who will be moving into Ellie's old apartment upstairs. I've heard rumors that it might be the mother to one of the girl's that live upstairs. If that's the case then this place will be going downhill even further. There'd be kids running up those stairs all the time and this woman smokes too and it's right on the same corner as me but up around the corner. I'd be smelling her smoke all the time too, along with all her company's. The smoke is already killing me in this place. I wish they'd pass a law for these Government funded buildings so that no one can smoke in them. It's invading our space and that is not right. I've already given my input on a Facebook page that's trying to get a law passed. I even gave them the landlord's name and address. I don't care if I get in trouble or if the landlord hates me more than he already does. We have rights too!
Today I'm going to relax as best I can. But I know I'll end up doing something. Always something to clean and I have lots more stuff to weed out.
It's my brother, Jim's, 61st birthday today. He finally got all his apartments rented. He called me last week. So I could delete them off Craigslist.
My granddaughter, Salena's, cat is missing. It's been gone for a few days now so I guess it won't be coming back. Now they only have one left. That's the pretty cat that my sister Jane had given them earlier this year. I wish Nina never let them outside. It's bound to happen. They either get hit by cars or poisoned. But I do hope it shows up, for the kid's sake.
Take care everyone.

September 13, 2012-Cooler Weather Feels Good

I'm loving these cooler nights! Although it is heading for 85 degrees today, it doesn't matter because the days are shorter and the nights are crisp and cool and it's a whole lot better sleeping weather. Not that I sleep any better but..Ha!
It's been quiet and I don't really have anything to report, as far as family goes.
The mama deer and the three fawns have been around  the past few days. I hadn't seen them in almost a week. The fawns have lost all their spots and they are growing their winter coat. They sure look different so fast! I can see the mom's longer hair on her. The fawns are very curious and they still run and jump and are very cute to watch.
I've gotten a couple good photos of the fox pup too. There are two. They don't come out together though but they have different faces so now I can tell the difference. Sure is hard to get close ups. They tend to get up on the wall now and look down. I haven't seen the mom to the pups so am a little concerned about her. The dad is always out early every morning.
I heard chain saws in the woods. There goes some more of the critter's homes that they have been so busy working on for the winter. It always bothers me when I hear that noise. There's so many people that don't give a shit about God's little animals. They all have a right to live here on earth too!
I've been out a couple times in the past week. Went out Tuesday night to get groceries. Was out last Sat. morning to get critter food. I had left a bag in the trunk and forgot to get it that night. The chipmunks always know when there's a bag in there. There was a hole in it already. I always leave a small bunch for them in the trunk. I don't care. They are hoarding for the winter so I figure I might as well have the front yard ones have some too..Ha! Ha!
One of our old original tenants here in the building moved out Sunday to go live with her daughter. She's 86 and getting forgetful and falling so it's the best. I don't know how she will get along with her daughter though. I'm thinking it won't be long before they have to put her in Folts Home or something. It's hell to get old.
I haven't heard anything from Nina this week so don't know what is going on with the new job she might get in Albany. I sure hope it goes well for her. She deserves it after all the hard work she's done. I should add her history here so you all can see how many jobs she's had since high school and how far she's come.
Well. I guess I better get my birds up.
Take care everyone.

September 7, 2012-Been Hot Here

I haven't been doing much this past week. It's been hot and humid so I haven't gone anywhere since last Friday morning. It's a bit damp this morning. Must have rained a little overnight. And it was foggy. This will be our last day of warm and humid weather before the cooler air comes in. I will love that!
My cousin and her girlfriend came over yesterday afternoon. Made them lunch and talked about life and family and the old days. I didn't take any pictures though. Forgot.
I was going to go out to the community room at 7 pm for a woman's birthday party but I was too tired and had a back ache from doing too much all day.
My damn flange is bothering me also. I've had to change it almost every other day and my belly is getting all irritated again. Really pisses me off when it won't stick good. But I've tried everything so nothing I can do.
The kids started back to school on Wednesday around here. I haven't seen any new pictures of the grandkids yet but Salena did put a message on Facebook that morning saying she was waiting for the bus.
I guess I will have to get out tomorrow morning for critter food. Not going to Walmart till Monday though. Or Sunday night. All depends on how I'm feeling.
The deer haven't been around at all this week. Maybe they have joined the group that lives up on the hill next door. That girl saw four adults and four fawns one morning. I always wonder where they live in the winter. They do roam over this way in the winter though. At least when they stay in groups they are safer and warmer maybe.
That's all for now. Got to get off this chair.
Have a nice weekend everyone.

August 30, 2012-Had The Girls All Day-Car Passed Inspection

Nina brought Salena and Jessi over at 8:30 am on Wednesday and they spent the day with me. Made them breakfast and then after lunch we made spinach balls so they'd have some to take home. Nina came at 5 pm to get them. Selena had to be at soccer practice by 5:30. Jason would be picking them up because Nina had to teach her class in Utica.
Breakfast. Scrambled eggs with pumpernickel toast with peanut butter and hot chocolate. It was very cool that morning. Salena even had a blanket with her.. But it warmed up to maybe 72 by the end of the day.
Here's all three of us.

A friend of my cousin's daughter, Angie, came and got my car at 2:30 and took it to Little Falls to get it inspected. That was so nice of Dave to do that. He was back by 3:30. My car passed and now I don't have to worry about that for the next year. I want the car to outlast me hopefully. If something happens to it I'm done with a car. Dave is going to come down and patch my back window seal when he gets time. He says it won't take but a few minutes and he already has the seal stuff. The seal on my back windshield is slowly coming off. And it's too hard to try and stretch it back. And I sure don't want to pay over $100 to have a new one put on.
So yesterday (29th) was a busy but good day. Today I'm just going to relax. I'm a bit worn out. And my left knee is hurting a little. I think it's from the girls sitting on it. I noticed a little pain when they got off. So I'll be babying that for a few days. Sure don't want all that pain again that I had for almost a year in it.
It's another beautiful day here. Low humidity and might get up to 80.
It's going to be a long weekend for some people. The kids start back to school on Wed.
Have a nice weekend everyone. Take care.

Steve And Alysha Visited-August 24, 2012

Alysha was home for a couple days. So she and Steve stopped by. Jeanne called and then came over also. Alysha has left NH for good. She was driving to Buffalo today to visit her Aunt Prudy and then to Pittsburg to visit Ben's brother. Then she will be heading to Asheville, NC. Her friend Missy will be riding with her to Asheville and then flying back home to CA.
Faith has rented a larger home that has a separate apartment in it for Alysha. That way they will all be together to help when the baby is born in Nov.
Alysha is six months along now and showing pretty good. She said she feels good and she seems to be handling everything okay. She had a lot of help in Nh, packing up a POD with all her furniture and stuff. I just hope it all works out for her.
It's been in the 80's the past couple days and nice. Getting a bit more humid  and hotter tomorrow. Not sure if it will rain or not. Maybe earlier next week.
I have not made an appointment anywhere to get my car inspected yet. I will have to get somewhere next week. If not I'll take my chances till I can get it done. If it doesn't pass then it's off the road and I won't have a car. I won't like it but I sure can't afford another one. My family will just have to take me to the store.  I only use it go to the store anyway. I only put about 300 miles a year on that thing. It's the independance I'll miss. Like going out at 7 am if I want to or late at night to do my grocery shopping. That old car doesn't cost me much unless it needs repairs, which I can't afford either. Guess I'm better off without a car these days. I'd save on insurance. But that's only $35 a month. I don't put much gas in it. I'd save on registration every two years and the inspections and oil changes each year also. And it's almost been three years and probably the damn battery will be going. Seems like it goes every three years almost to the day. If it does then I can figure around January that it will go dead on me. But I'll worry about that when it happens. First I have to see if pases inspection.
Thursday night I went out at 8:30 pm and was home by 9:30. Then Friday morning I went out to Abuchon to get my critter food at 7 am.
I'm feeling the same. Just having problems with my Ostomy flange again. Very itchy and not sticking well. Pisses me off. On Monday I have to fill all the prescriptions for that stuff. I'm down to my last 7 bags. I do have some other kind if I need them though.
Mike's daughter, Kailyn has gone to Buffalo to start college. Alysha was going to stop and see her also. I see a picture on facebook of Kailyn at her dorm with Mike and Tonya.
Here's a couple pics of us yesterday. Take care everyone.
 Me, Alysha and Jeanne.
Alysha and her dad, Steve.
