November 26, 2012-Cold Few Days

I spent a nice quiet day at home on Thanksgiving. Made myself a Mrs. Calender's Pot Pie. It was real good! Pam called. She was home and John was working till 3 pm. They were going to John's family's home for dinner.
Debby went down to Danielle's. Nina had her father's side of the family over to her house for dinner. She wanted to bring me a plate but I said no. I don't need all that food.
Alysha hasn't had her baby yet, as of this morning anyway.
This is Alysha and Faith on Thanksgiving day. Her belly looks like a perfect basketball..Ha!

Steve won't be going down till Christmas, according to Alysha.
I haven't heard anything from Jeanne. Debby said she was going to stay home on Thanksgiving also. Deb had talked to her the day before.
Rich and Ann went out to Rochester to be with Ann's daughter and grandchildren. Here's a pic of them.
It sure was a nice day that day! Up in the 50's.

I went out Friday evening to get groceries and to Aubuchon for critter food. At least Walmart was quiet by that time. I was afraid it might snow a lot and then I wouldn't be able to get out.

Nina will be starting her new job on Dec. 13th. She says she's looking at apartments down there and thinks she will probably move and rent her house out till she decides if she wants to sell it and to make sure she likes her job first. I'm glad. I didn't like her driving all that ways every day. Time will tell.
Jim and Patty stayed home for Thanksgiving too. They won't be traveling out to see Matthew at Christmas either. Jim called me the other day and we talked for two hours. he's trying to get a roof done up in Middleville before too much snow comes. He better hurry!  Winter is upon us.
Carol spent Thanksgiving with her daughters out there in Las Vegas. She said she had a nice day. Mike's girls were home for the holidays from college. I see their pics online but haven't heard anything from Mike. I presume he was with them.

I'm doing okay. Nothing has changed. Still as fat as ever..Ha!
On the 24th it snowed and it was very blustery. It didn't stick too much in this area but other places got a few inches. Then it snowed gently on the 25th. No accumulation on that day either. And this morning there were snowflakes in the air and it is a bit warmer. 33 degrees. The sun is peeking through and looks to be a nice day.  Winter is here I think. They say it's going to be a normal winter this year, with lots of snow and cold. I hope they are wrong. I would like to get out on my own a few times during the winter. If not I'll have to ask for a ride maybe.
That's about it for another week.. Take care everyone.
