It was 9 below zero this morning! When will this cold ever end?? But it is a beautiful, sunny day and it's heading for 30 degrees. It will be warmer the next few days but it will be cloudy and maybe more snow and rain... The little Chipmunk was out there today. He disappeared into the rock wall too fast for me to get a photo. It was still very cold when I saw him too.
I'm just relaxing today. The electricity went off at midnight last night. Came on a short time later. I've been having a problem with my hot water tank. Yesterday the pressure in the bathroom was making the noises loud in the pipes and it was spitting and sputtering out of the faucet. Seems like the pressure is too high or something. This morning the hot water ran out too fast. I found that the breaker had gone off so I turned it back on and the water got hot again. I left a note for the maintenance man and he stopped in to check it at 9 am. He turned up the top element a bit but that's not the problem. He said he'll need to clean it out. There's a ton of lime built up in that thing. He hasn't cleaned it in a few years. Back then he unloaded about three big pails full of lime. No wonder I run out of hot water so fast. I've been telling them all along but they never do anything till something happens. Next thing I know I won't have any hot water at all then they will have to give me a new tank. The landlord won't spend any money till he absolutely has to in all his buildings. He gets all these Government handouts and pockets most of the money for himself. He half-ass fixes things so nothing is ever working the way it should and the roofs are always leaking because he won't have the job done right to begin with and hires the cheapest contractors. This building is only 14 years old. What a shame.
I'm not going out today but am going to go sit next to the window and watch all the critters outside in the sun.
Have a nice day everyone.
My flange is holding up so far. I will change it tomorrow morning probably. The pharmacy delivered my stuff yesterday and the barrier rings that I ordered came also. I will be trying one of them next time. Medicare won't pay for the adhesive remover either so I will have to buy that myself also. That's about $15 for a pack of 50 wipes. I have enough for now, thanks to one company that sent me samples. I'm all done with samples now though. So now it's up to me to get what I need. Sure am glad Medicare pays for the flanges and bags and seals. They are real expensive!
I might be back later if there's any news. Otherwise I'll be back tomorrow.

I do enjoy catching up with your day to day news Ginny. I sort of feel sometimes that I am intruding on personal stuff but then realise that you wouldn't post it if you didn't want us to read it.
You have a great way with words!
Hope that tank holds up !
Take care Ginny...BIG HUGS :)
Ha! That's right Jan. I don't care who reads this. I'm too old to worry about that stuff and you are right. I wouldn't be putting it out there if I didn't want anyone reading it. I used to keep a diary most of my life. This takes the place of it..LOL
You take care also and thanks for leaving a comment here. Big hug back to you too!!
